Southwest Hay & Forage Conference
Each year, the New Mexico Hay Association and NMSU Extension Plant Sciences Department sponsor and coordinate the Southwest Hay & Forage Conference. The event is held in Ruidoso, NM. Producers, scientists, and vendors come from all around the Southwest to learn about the latest research advances and to promote the most current technologies in the hay (and other forage) industries.

Pesticide Applicator CEUs: We recognize that pesticide applicator CEUs are an important component of our annual conferences. We strive to obtain as many NM, TX, and AZ CEUs as possible each year at our conference.
Science Center Field Days & Forage Workshops
Please join us at our Agricultural Science Center Field Days and workshops to learn about the latest research related to forage production in New Mexico, as well as ongoing projects involving other crops. Several of the experiment stations conduct forage research related to alfalfa, corn, sorghum and perennial grasses.

National & International Meetings
Western Alfalfa & Forage Symposium
Every other year, the Western Alfalfa & Forage Symposium is held to bring together researchers, Extension personnel, farmers, and vendors from all around the western US. The Cooperative Extension Services of AZ, CA, CO, ID, MT, NV, NM, OR, UT, WA, WY sponsor the symposium. This large event includes many educational sessions for the different classes of forages grown in western states. Field tours and pre-conference workshops are included in the program as well.
